The Venue

Built in 1858, the house completed its restoration journey in early 2021. It has nine large ensuite guest rooms that can sleep up to 20 guests. The house is ~10,000 square feet and has 15-foot ceilings, original hardwoods, large pocket doors, 10 fireplaces, and grand common spaces including a library and parlor. The house sits back on an acre corner lot, with space for a 30x70 tent, beautiful wedding arbor, fire pit, and comfortable outdoor lounge areas. Inside, there is over 1,500 square feet of common area giving you multiple location options for your event. Meticulously and thoughtfully designed, we have highlighed the authenticity of the original architecture while incorporating modern and vintage touches. Every item was handpicked, from artwork, fixtures, vintage rugs, and custom furniture.
Although we sit in a cozy historic neighborhood, we are steps away from the iconic Boylan Bridge overlooking the downtown Raleigh skyline, a short walk to some wonderful downtown businesses, additional hotels for overflow guests, as well as the magnificent Dix Park.

Weddings
Up to 149 Guests*
Heights House can accommodate one wedding per weekend. Although our maximum guest capacity is 149, our sweet spot for the most comfortable event is under 100 guests. When booking a wedding with us, we require the booking of all nine rooms in the house for two nights. This gives you private access to the property and ensures the integrity/quality of your event. From our personal experience, we know that holding your wedding weekend in one location over multiple days, versus a single five hour event, is incredibly special. You get more time with your guests and the flexibility to celebrate your special day according to your personal wishes and style. Everyone’s vision for their wedding is uniquely their own. We want to enhance that vision, not fit you into a preset package. Have your ceremony at sunrise, do yoga on the lawn before you start getting ready for the big day, want to change your ceremony location day of? We’ll make it happen. We pride ourselves in going with the flow to make the weekend exactly how you want it. Our staff will go above and beyond to make a memorable and authentic experience that you and your guests will talk about for years to come.
Elopements
up to 25 guests
Plan an intimate or spontaneous wedding with your closest friends and family. We’ll help in making your small celebration stress-free and unique to your vision. With an intimate guest list, Heights House will supply all the rentals so you don’t have to worry about a thing. Elopements are priced differently and generally will fall on a weekday year-round or a weekend in January or February. If we have available weekends during March through December, they may be booked no more than 3 months prior to the event date. When booking an elopement with us, we require the booking of all nine rooms in the house for one night minimum during the week and two nights on a weekend.

Private dinners, bridal luncheons, corporate parties, photo and video shoots, anniversary celebrations, corporate meetings or retreats, product staging, fundraising events, art shows, styled shoots, intimate music shows, workshops or showers - the list is endless and the property can accommodate just about anything you have in mind!
